Washer dead, ordered wrong one, ordered deck for zero turn, missed turn for hairdresser, sent package bought on eBay to Delaware instead of home, washer arrived, decided to sell old dryer and get matching dryer (love the washer, the dryer isn't as good as my old one), bunnies galore in the yard,
paid exorbitant shipping and extra fee for Holland America jacket from eBay vendor in Canada, arrived with torn liner which was not disclosed in photos or description, seller would only refund if I mailed it back to her (which was 4 times what I paid for the actual jacket), first negative review EVER (since 2020) posted on eBay, bought new rocking chairs for front porch, snapping turtle escorted out of yard, Stu installed handrails for me by the front steps and the garage steps (yes, I'm that old), first raccoon seen on security camera (night and raining), many-many parts ordered for Blaze ('65 Ford Falcon convertible), more wool bought and sold, I woke up one morning with almost no hearing in my right ear (two ENT visits, haring test done showing loss, high dose steroids for 18 days, another hearing test next month but I think all is much better, Stu took a quick trip to MD for the funeral of a good friend, back home and mowed-mowed-mowed after replacing the zero-turn deck (and a few other needed parts), another trip to MD for us both as our granddaughter celebrated her graduation from high school, attended the dance recital for our youngest grandson, and I have no idea what else....
Oh, wait! Back two days from MD and our eight year old Samsung refrigerator bit the dust. Thanks to tariffs and overall price increases, had to spend $2900 to get the one we wanted. Was supposed to delivery today or tomorrow, now delayed to Friday. Thank goodness for our freezer in the garage, the dorm/hotel size refrigerator Stu was using in the pole barn, and a good ice chest. We are surviving and only had to throw out a few things.
Here are a few pics to break out this long monotonous post...
And for those who remember Sadie, she is still kicking at age 16!
So how is your spring progressing?
Ciao for now!

Oh my goodness! Sadie! It's so good to see her again. And on another note - I love your new rockers - where did you get them?
ReplyDeleteAmazon and the seats are our old ones from our Adirondack chairs. https://amzn.to/43slg7J
